Seven Scoops & Sips and The Montville, NJ PBA unite on Monday, August 26th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. as they raise money for an American Hero: Pat Quinn, co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, who will be at the event.  Seven Scoops is located at 321 Changebridge Rd., Pine Brook, NJ 07058.

Seven Scoops is a new ice cream parlor started by Anne & Ryan Olohan and their seven children. When not scooping ice cream and sweeping the floor (his specialty), Ryan works at Google in New York City as the Managing Director of Healthcare. Seven Scoops is much more than simply delicious ice cream, tasty acai bowls, or the finest coffee. Seven Scoops is about community; a place where all are welcome and everyone is family. Every month, Seven Scoops makes a donation to a worthy cause.

“Pat personally raised over $200M to fight this dreadful disease,” states Ryan Olohan.  “More importantly, Pat is an inspiration to millions because he can no longer talk, move, or do the basic things we take for granted….but he stays positive and refuses to give up. Unfortunately, the out of pocket medical costs for Pat are enormous so every penny for every ice cream at Seven Scoops will go directly to Pat next Monday, August 26. Pat will personally be at Seven Scoops from 6:00 – 8:00 pm to show his gratitude so we hope you can come show your support for this American Hero.”

Additionally, The Montville PBA will be presenting a donation to Quinn.

The Olohan’s mission is to give back to through Seven Scoops. So far Seven Scoops has donated almost $10,000 in its first six weeks to the Montville Baseball & Softball Association for families who might struggle with the annual fees, to Harlem Grown for children in need, and several other local groups.

After Quinn’s fundraiser, where every penny made (not just the profits) will go directly to his care, the Olohan’s hope is to raise enough money to build a school for girls in Kenya who otherwise will have no access to education.

Seven Scoops fans include The Real Housewives of NJ star Teresa Guidice, who recently posted an Instagram story during a visit.

ABOUT SEVEN SCOOPS & SIPS

Seven Scoops is so much more than delicious ice cream, tasty acai bowls and the finest coffee. It is a place where ALL are welcome and EVERYONE is family—a place where we celebrate the many flavors that make up our one community.

It’s a place where you can enjoy the highest quality ice cream without costing a fortune. A place where you will support struggling women in Ecuador with every sip of coffee. A place where we can fight extreme poverty with the purchase of beautiful hand-made bracelets from Kenya. And it’s a place that will support our own community with the commitment to donate to a worthy cause every month.

Simply put, at Seven Scoops, giving back has never been sweeter.

Seven Scoops & Sips is a labor of love started by Anne & Ryan Olohan and their seven children.

Since moving to Montville, NJ almost 13 years ago, Anne’s vision has always been to open a special place for everyone in the community to have fun, bond, and get to know their neighbors better.

Seven Scoops is much more than simply delicious ice cream, tasty acai bowls, or the finest coffee. Seven Scoops is about community; a place where all are welcome and everyone is family.

A graduate of Barnard College at Columbia University, Anne worked for ten years in consulting and technology at Hewitt Associates (where she met Ryan) and Gartner Group. She then took a break from office work to raise seven children and now has started the third chapter of her fascinating story.

When not scooping ice cream and sweeping the floor (his specialty), Ryan works at Google in New York City as the Managing Director of Healthcare.

Anna Cate, William, Jack, Finn, Braden, Ryan Jr. & Tess spend their free time when not at Seven Scoops or school playing soccer, basketball, and baseball… but their greatest love is performing in their family band, O7.
